Robin Williams stars as a 10-year-old with an ageing disease who attempts to lead a normal life by going to school for the first time, little realising how his appearance will affect everyone around him. Francis Ford Coppola's much-derided light drama attempts to pluck at the heartstrings, but Williams' typically over-the-top performance ruins any sense of subtlety.
