Sleek, modern-life variety of police sleuthing doesn’t describe Deputy U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens. He uses archaic, 19th century variety of sleuthing and investigation, brick-and-mortar, whatever it’s your decision to call it, but continues to be a contemporary-day police officer, who uses his own style to extract justice which puts a target on his back with criminals and puts him at odds together with his bosses inside the U.S. Marshals Service. Justified Season 2 Episode 9: Cottonmouth as sleuthing doesn’t get any better than this.
Raylan Givens, is the fictional hero of the newest American television drama series Justified. Played by suave Timothy Olyphant, the character was an U.S. Marshal from Elmore Leonard’s novels Pronto and Riding the Rap and his short story “Fire in the Hole”. And the series is set in Lexington, Kentucky, and the hill country of Eastern Kentucky, pointedly around and in Harlan. Again, Timothy Olyphant stars as the rough, sexy and heavily southern-bred jock but a very soft spoken federal lawman, enforcing his own style of extralegal justice. Justified Season 2 Episode 9 so you’d see more of Raylan Givens takes action.
